The Winter 2012 regular season started January 8th. Registration is currently closed. Teams interested in joining us for this season may contact us about availability or questions. You can also follow us on Twitter or Facebook (click links above) to stay up-to-date on the league.
The Winter 2012 consist of 2 divisions: Asian/Pacific Islander 6'2" & Under (players must be half-Asian with 1 non-Asian allowed) and an Asian/Pacific Islander Masters (players must be 33+ and half-Asian). Divisions must be filled with a minimum of 8 teams to start the season. Teams are usually grouped together for pool play during the regular season (6 games) and depending on the number of teams in the division, are usually placed in separate playoffs brackets based on regular season standings (see FAQ for details). Division champsions receive a team trophy and at least $100 (possibly more depending on the number of teams) credit for next season's fees. Championship Sunday is Feb 26.
Congratulations to teams that have made it to Championship Sunday. It's not over yet and anyone there can win! It's never over until you reach the championship game or see the number 2 in your loss column.
We'd like to thank all the other teams who played with us for the Winter 2012 season. We hope to see you back again next season. Keep an eye out for Spring 2012 season info.
6'2" & Under: It all comes down to Swish Army (1-0), BB916 (1-0) and Santos Mafia (2-1). Both the top seeds made it through without a loss so far and Santos Mafia, losing their first game to Real World (1-2), defeated Stockton Knights (1-2) and YOLO (1-2) to make it this far. Great games and competition from all teams involved this season.
Masters Division I: Everyone's still in it. Top seed Montefalcon (1-0) defeated fourth seed Koomags (0-1) to stay in the winners' bracket. Joining them is third seed Firefox (1-0), who won against second seed Incognito (0-1).
Masters Division II: We're down to the final 3 teams: Fil-Am Brothers (1-0), Men in Black (2-0) and Warriors (2-1). Top seed Fil-Am Brothers made it through by winning against Assault (1-2). Men in Black knocked off second seed Pistols (0-2). Warriors lost to Men in Black in their first game to drop them into the losers' bracket where they defeated Assaut (1-2) and MOBS (1-2) to survive.

Reminder that playofs begin on Feb 19. All teams will play this week. Please look at the schedule for your division to find out what time you will be playing.

This week's games will mark the end of the regular season. Playoffs begin next week, Feb 19. Double elimination format will be used for all divisions. The Masters Division will be further divided into A and B brackets. Each bracket will have their own playoffs, independent of each other. See FAQ for details.

Congratulations to Portland's Hoopstarz for winning the Winter 2012 Battle In Da Capitol 5 on 5 Hoop Tournament presented by Swish Army and Cal-RBA.

The Battle In Da Capitol tournament begins tomorrow, Saturday, at 11am. Saturday games will be played at Barbara Morse Wackford Community Center (9014 Bruceville Rd, Elk Grove CA 95758). Sunday's games will be played at both Monterey Trail High School (MTHS: 8661 Power Inn Rd, Elk Grove 95624) and Elk Grove High School (EGHS: 9800 Elk Grove-Florin Rd, Elk Grove 95624).
We will have a TV setup onsite so that no one will miss the 49er game.

Cal-RBA and Swish Army are hosting the Battle in da Capital basketball tournament on January 21-22. $50 deposit will confirm team spot. There will be 2 divisions, Asian Open and Asian Masters:

-Player regulations:- No height limit
- Players must be at least 50% Asian/Pacific Islander
- 1 import allowed on roster

The Winter 2011/2012 season originally slated to start on December 11th has been pushed back to January 8th. Teams that have already registered and paid will have the option of withdrawing their registration.
